Transport, Logistics & Delivery Edition · Module 1
Representing the Business on the Move
Transport and delivery employees often work away from the office.
That does not mean they are away from the business.
A customer may experience the company through:
- the Driver who arrives at the gate
- the Dispatch Rider delivering a package
- the Courier collecting an item
- the Delivery Assistant unloading goods
- the employee calling about a delay
- the condition in which goods arrive
- the way a company vehicle is used in public
Employees in these roles may work without a manager standing beside them.
That makes professional judgment especially important.
A branded vehicle can carry the company name across an entire city.
A uniform can identify the business.
A phone call can shape customer trust.
A public argument can damage reputation.
A respectful delivery can strengthen it.
BY THE END OF THIS MODULE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO:
- understand how frontline transport staff represent the business
- prepare professionally before beginning assigned work
- behave appropriately at pickup locations
- behave professionally at customer delivery locations
- communicate respectfully during difficult interactions
- maintain professional public conduct
- understand how presentation affects trust
- respect customer and property boundaries
- avoid turning personal disputes into company problems
- report mistakes and service problems honestly
Core Behavior
Represent the business professionally even when nobody from management is physically present.
TrueConduct Principle
When you carry the company’s vehicle, uniform, goods or name, your behavior carries the company too.
Remember
The customer may never meet the owner.
They may meet you.
